Abstract
The future of education for adult learners is moving towards online learning. In 2018, 2.8 million post-secondary students were enrolled in online courses (Burke, 2019). This number will likely increase due to the limitations of in-person learning during the COVID-19 pandemic but also because online education is desirable amongst working professionals. The flexibility of online education is a crucial factor in the decision to pursue online education since adult learners are often balancing work, families, and other responsibilities (Ng & Baharom, 2018). Since falling behind in schoolwork can lead to higher dropout rates, it is important for students to manage time effectively (Simplicio, 2019). During this session, strategies will be shared to help students learn how to prioritize and organize their time, access helpful resources, and find ways to incorporate self-care. By utilizing these strategies, students may find a balance amongst their responsibilities and find success in the classroom.
