Bridging the Educational Divide: AI's Impact on the Future of Lifelong Learning

Abstract

This session explores how AI will revolutionize education by bridging gaps between higher education, K-12, and employee training through personalized and engaging lifelong learning experiences (Microsoft Education Team, 2022). AI-driven technologies and NexGen Learning methods are showcased, revealing their potential to empower faculty to deliver transformative learning experiences, and to improve student engagement, accessibility, and retention. Ethical concerns, the limitations of AI, and accessibility are central to this discussion (UNESCO, 2023). As AI technology advancements challenge the status quo in education and workforce development, nuanced approaches to curriculum design, assessment, teaching and learning are covered (Baker, 2020; Carnegie Mellon University, 2021). Participants will harness the power of AI in a quest to solve different challenges in education and workforce development. Join us to envision a future where AI empowers faculty, sets students on a path toward academic excellence, and inspires lifelong learning.
