Our country has had its share of unexpected tragedies, from 9/11 to Hurricane Katrina; the impacts brought by COVID-19 is no different. Examining quarantine strategies and social acceptability in Michigan will focus on the Coronavirus pandemic that is currently affecting our nation. Michigan is the third state in the United States with the highest cases of coronavirus (Bartkowiak, 2020). This study will examine different quarantine strategies and social acceptability. As the goal is to show how citizens are being impacted by quarantine in Michigan. The results will prove that despite government officials implementing a stay-at-home mandate, citizens will choose not to abide by the mandate in place, posing a significant health risk amongst citizens. However, during a pandemic what is labeled as a “right” would have to coincide with what is best for the American people (Torda, 2006, p.S73-S75).en_US
